One of the toughest things to possess nowadays is patience. Even when I write this article, I try to maintain the consistency of time distributed equally for each paragraph. To be able to strengthen concentration and focus, one must understand the virtue of patience. Patience is the key to learning and inculcating all types of skills. However, there are many tips to adapt from a list of a few other than mere patience. To inherit patience, you must workout on adjacent skills. Just like Rome was not built in a day, incorporating concentration and focus will also take some time. Several ways dictate how to improve concentration and focus but some stand out for effective results.

We are constantly instructed that patience is a virtue and so do the things that come along with it. We all have a little of everything in us, all we have to do is tap on the skill and brush it to perfection. Many people find it difficult to concentrate on something and some find it tough to maintain consistency for a longer period. This is mostly because most people cannot endure for long and lose their will power to exhausted patience. Concentration and focus are a deadly combo. With just these two skills, a person can conquer the world in just 24 hours. To enforce and instill this virtue, children and youth should be instructed and explained the values and morals that come with it. To achieve this level of discipline, childhood is the best time to start with.


Here are certain tips that can be used by both children as well as adults on how to improve concentration and focus effectively: 



  • A Sound Sleep: 



A person who sleeps for at least 7-8 hours a day is characterized by a sound mind and a healthy body. Sleep is given the utmost emphasis on achieving an unperturbed focus. When you complete your sleep, you are no longer agitated due to sleeplessness and diseases or ailments brought about by sleeplessness. 






  • Start with Bits: 


Do not start to sit for hours at a stretch in the initial days. Start with minimum hour investment and gradually keep increasing your time till you have achieved your desired goal duration. You will face difficulty in the beginning, so, make sure to keep your goal always in your mind so that you do not get distracted. 



  • Routine:  


There should always be a routine to follow when you want to induce disciplinary elements like concentration and focus. A fixed schedule will help you to distribute an equal amount of time for all the important activities you have lined up for the day. Routine life is also important for inducing discipline into our lives. 




  • Yoga Workout: 


If your body is not healthy, it will be prone to illness, which in turn will cause hindrance in focusing on your life goals. Exercise and Yoga have been effectively proven to relax and rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul since time immemorial. It will provide you with the required amount of energy to invest in the day. Yoga helps a great deal to help introduce personality development for kids. Establishing yoga among kids at a young age never fails. 


  • Take a Break: 


It is important to pause for a moment and evocate all that you have just studied, worked on or performed hard labor for. When you pause, your mind relaxes and you can evaluate the things you have recently done with ample concentration, thereby you can further plan your future endeavors and ventures. Taking a break will accelerate your goals and help you fill the missing plots or loopholes that you might have missed when you were rigorously working. 



  • Play Games: 


While on breaks, it would be obvious that your mind will be in your task since you spend solitary time. However, when you are too much occupied with work or your goal, it would not prove to be a successful break unless you indulge in some light games like board games, simple video games, or even indulge in outdoor sports to forget all the stress caused by your task at hand. This will help you in cognitive thinking and better brain performance. 




  • Meditation: 

It is one of the most effective and probably the best way to execute almost all tasks in life. It will not only relax you but will also energize and prepare you for the worst. It is one of the power sources to help you induce peace and patience. 


  • Music: 

Music is a very good agent to incorporate focus and concentration. Children love music and adding it during their study time will excite them more. Make sure to instruct and help them choose music suitable for their age. 




No matter how tricky it is to incorporate concentration and focus, it is an inevitable skill. If not now, someday or the other you will need these abilities to perform some work in the future. At that time, you might end up searching for “how to improve concentration and focus" and perhaps you will be then too lazy to adapt to the said steps. So, the best time to start is NOW! Kids will find it boring at first but when they get used to it, they will want to invest it more productively. To spread love, affection, trust, and respect, you must first inherit these within you. You cannot spread emotions that you do not possess, no matter how hard you try to imitate them.

Human beings are selfish beings, they mend things just so that they can sleep in peace. This attitude of humanity has been witnessed since time immemorial, harsh but true because life skills are the ultimate way to survive. In a nutshell, to assure that your relationship with people is healthy, you need to brush your communication as wells as personality development skills. The key to a healthy relationship is strong and transparent communication.

  1. Give Some Space: 

Do not suffocate the other person, no matter how close they are to you. Give them the appropriate time to grow and heal, time, and space in a relationship is everything. This way, it shows you are concerned and respect that person’s privacy. Understanding and accepting the person as they are is what helps a relationship grow. 



2. Empathy: 


If you thought people are empathetic towards their blood relatives then you might be hurt here. It is a general human tendency to choose a favorite person or relative among the vast range of blood and non-blood relatives. However, even after this is, there is always a concern in the back of everyone's mind that prays for the well being of their loved ones. You should always keep yourselves in the shoes of your distressed one. This would give them comfort and strength to overcome their problems.
