There are always positive and negative aspects of every adversity or hurdle that a person goes through. Everybody is different with their respective personalities and have a different outlook on how they encounter problems in their lives. Some crumble and become emotionally weak while some come out to be stronger than ever. These are the instances that define how a person's personality has shaped him/her. These were however a glance at an adult's perspective of stressful times. Adults have been structured and expected to gather themselves after a tough time as they are supposed to look after the younger ones in the family-but what happens when the stress is on the young? It is not an uncommon fact that children and students do not face stress. Stress does not discriminate, and everybody has to face it at some point in the time-some face it early while some late.
Students face stress just like adults. They stress mostly about studies, future, adolescent relationships, if they are teenagers then stress is high as they become image, health, and status-conscious. No matter how much you counsel them over these, they are still likely to vex about it-which is practically a good habit. It is a good habit that young students are stressing over their education and career. It is said that students perform better under stress, but the question is how they perceive or have been taught to perceive. Effects of stress in students are just like adults-different on different people!
Children and students' ideas of perception are derived and applied from the elders of their family and in the school atmosphere. The attitude which their elders display to encounter and tackle hard times is exactly how children react to the stress-causing problems. A family is a child’s first social setting. Students should be trained to remain strong and hopeful during testing times to overcome the pain.
A child usually starts to take stress around teenage and this is the most crucial time for students-certain activities caught up during teenage lasts a lifetime. This could be of two types- (a) Over-eating: where stress makes them hungry and eating relaxes their mind and body; (b) under-eating: stress makes people go sick in their tummies making them lose a great amount of appetite. Children losing appetite or getting obese during their growing stage can cause serious health issues.

Stress leads to sleepless nights, eating disorders, and disturbed sleep cycles, all leading to irregular menstrual cycles among teenage schoolgirls.
